Gentle support for the early days—helping you rest, recover, and feel cared for as you adjust to life with your baby.

About Me

Headshot Lucy May 2026.jpg

Hi, I’m Lucy — a mom of two, an educator for over 20 years, and a DONA-trained postpartum doula.

For two decades, I supported children and families as a Montessori teacher, and have also worked as a nanny in family homes, creating spaces where little ones feel safe, capable, and understood. These experiences shape the way I support families today — with patience, attentiveness, and deep respect for each family’s unique rhythm.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand that my strength lies in being calm, steady, and deeply attuned to the needs of the families I support, while also bringing clear communication and thoughtful organization to each day.

Becoming a mother myself expanded that understanding in the most profound way. I know how tender the early days can be — the exhaustion, the questions, the quiet moments of awe, and the vulnerability that comes with loving something so completely.

With my DONA training, years in education, and lived experience as a mother, I offer calm, grounded, and practical support during this transformative season.

All are welcome here. I proudly support parents of all identities and family structures.

You deserve to feel supported in the early days. I’m here to come alongside you with gentle care — so you can settle in, breathe deeply, and grow into this new beginning with confidence.

Ways I can support your family:

• Newborn care so you can rest
• Light household help
• Nourishing meal prep/snacks
• Emotional reassurance and guidance

Thoughtful support that creates more space for rest, connection, and recovery.

Sleep is vital during the early weeks. Overnight care allows for deep rest, with the reassurance that your baby is safe and nurtured. Support includes night feeds, soothing, and diapering, while maintaining a calm, restful environment for the whole family.

Nesting Session

$275

Up to 6 hours of in-home support

This in-home session helps you prepare your space and routines for life with a newborn. With practical support and gentle guidance, I’ll work alongside you to create a home that feels organized, functional, and ready for the early postpartum days. This may include preparing freezer meals, setting up nursery and postpartum spaces, and helping with light household tasks so you can focus on rest and transition.

What to Expect

Emotional Support
I offer compassionate, non-judgmental support as you navigate the emotional shifts of postpartum. Whether you need reassurance, a listening ear, or space to process your experience, I’m here to help you feel supported and grounded.

Newborn Care Guidance
From feeding and soothing to diapering and safe sleep, I provide gentle, practical guidance tailored to your family’s needs so you can feel more confident caring for your baby.

Rest & Recovery Support
The postpartum period is a significant transition. I help you prioritize rest, nourishment, and self-care so you can recover and move through your days with more energy and steadiness.

Sibling Support
If there are older children in the home, I can help support the adjustment to a new baby and encourage connection as your family settles into a new rhythm.

Light Household Help
I can assist with light household tasks such as meal prep, tidying, baby laundry, and resetting care spaces so you can focus on rest and bonding.

Referrals & Resources
When needed, I can connect you with trusted local professionals and evidence-based resources for additional postpartum, feeding, or parenting support. My goal is to make sure you have access to the tools and help you need for a confident start.

No two families are the same, and your support should reflect that. I’m here to walk alongside you with care, flexibility, and steady care as you adjust to life with your new baby.
